In our specialist project management work we apply the business improvement principles and methodologies of Prince2 and Lean Six Sigma.

5-step process

On a practical level, our approach is straightforward and super-efficient. For most projects SGConsultancy  offers a 5-step process to assess your organisational needs and to outline how, if required, we would implement our recommendations to improve your systems and ways of working.

  1. After your initial enquiry, we will arrange to have a 1 hour in-depth meeting with you in person or via video call. This will allow us to get to know each other, and will help us assess the scope and requirements of your project.
  2. Following on from that meeting, we will write up a detailed proposal of how we will support your project’s requirements, whether that’s for a one-off project or ongoing work. In this proposal we will include detail about how we will approach the work, the amount of time we will need to spend on the project, what our total costs will be, and our T&Cs. Once agreed, the proposal with then form a contract between us.
  3. Analysis and mapping is the next stage and this is where our objective is to understand what is happening at the moment and what the requirements are that you have.  This will highlight the areas that need improvement that you already know about but also some you may not be aware of.
  4. Next we repair and/or redesign – we will remove all the wasteful areas of your processes and map out a new, more streamlined set which will bring benefit to the business, your staff and your clients.
  5. Finally we need to embed the new processes via robust training and provision of manuals and also discuss with you what the ongoing maintenance of what we have implemented should be.
